After our first goat wandered onto our property after being “set free” by a local camp, we constructed our current animal enclosure and have grown our “family” to eleven (and counting) very friendly (and spoiled) rescue goats. Each one comes with a different rescue story, from escaping horrific conditions at a “backyard butcher”, farm-to-table operation to being rescued from the meat-markets of NYC to being exploited as petting zoo animals.

After our first goat wandered onto our property after being “set free” by a local camp, we constructed our current animal enclosure and have grown our “family” to 29 (and counting) very friendly (and spoiled) rescue goats. Each one comes with a different rescue story, from escaping horrific conditions at a “backyard butcher”, farm-to-table operation to being rescued from the meat-markets of NYC to being exploited as petting zoo animals.

We continue to love and acre for our herd, as well as rescue and rehome other goats in need.

To date, we have adopted out 5 goats, with more in the works.

We also support fellow sanctuaries by helping transport animals in need.

We thank you in advance for believing in the work we do. We couldn't do it without your help!your help!

Ongoing (Never-Ending) Projects
a.k.a. where your donations go...

We have big dreams! And we wish we could save and take in every goat referred to us. But without space and resources, we are finding that we have to say "no" more often than not. We cannot stretch our resources too thin that we can't take the very best care of the goats we have. Your donations go towards the following ongoing costs, improvements and long-term plans:

- enrichment and stimulation (scratching posts,

climbing apparatus, elevated cots, mineral blocks)

-capital projects (new fencing, gates, posts

and SHELTERS for expansion to rescue more goats)

- emergency medical costs

(savings to prepare for unexpected medical bills)

- PEOPLE! We currently have only one full-time person taking care of

29 goats (and counting)with an occasional volunteer and the

generosity of family and friends who come to help.

Imagine what we could do with another set of hands!

If you have the means and interest to donate a large sum to support the work we do, contact us at meagan@frederickfarmgoats.com to talk about tax-deductible options.
