Your visit begins with a brief introduction to the sanctuary and our rescue work, followed by simple tips for interacting comfortably with the herd. Then it’s time to meet your hiking companions! We’ll introduce each goat individually, sharing their breed, rescue journey, and the quirks that make them unforgettable. Some eagerly seek scratches, while others take a little longer to make friends. As you get acquainted, you’ll discover that getting to know a goat is much like getting to know a person: every connection is different. Together, we’ll head out for a leisurely one-mile hike along our marked forest trails, enjoying peaceful water views and the company of our curious companions. This is an invitation to slow down and notice what’s around you. Watch the goats investigate a fallen branch, stretch toward a tempting leaf, or pause to browse. Their delight in everyday discoveries is part of what makes walking with them so much fun. Along the trails, you’ll find signs featuring fascinating goat facts. Depending on the season, we’ll help gather suitable treats, such as acorns and leaves, with guidance on what to offer.
